The business philosophies upon which ecöhaus solutions is founded were in part inspired by the writings of John Abrams and his book, ‘The Company We Keep’. John is the co-founder and CEO of South Mountain Company, a thirty-year old, employee-owned home design and building company in Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts. By his example it is possible to evolve from a small one-man company to become an established employer and local business that values social and environmental responsibility on par with company profitability.
