solar hot water heating
Solar energy is an abundant and renewable energy source, providing a greener alternative to oil, gas, or electric hot water heaters. Even in the most frigid Saskatchewan winters, solar hot water heating is a viable option to offset some of your need for domestic hot water heating. In fact, a solar hot water heater is considered to be one of the most cost effective uses of solar energy, providing up to 60% of all the hot water required for a family of four. Furthermore, if you combine this system with a geothermal unit equipped with a hot water generator, you could reasonably achieve 100% of your hot water demand. Considering hot water heating is second only to heating your home in terms of energy consumption, this could amount to a few hundred dollars in savings every year. In addition to providing hot water for long showers or loads of laundry in your home, solar hot water heaters can also be used in car washes, restaurants, swimming pools, hotels, and many other commercial applications. If you are interested in using solar energy in your home or business, please contact us for more information.
